KIDA Now Accepts Insurance!
Starting with Occupational Therapy & Anthem
We are excited to announce that KIDA is now an in-network provider of occupational therapy services for Anthem Blue Cross PPO! We have experienced a surge of clients over the past few weeks due to our insurance coverage, so current and prospective clients are encouraged to call us at (949) 222-2214 for more information, or submit an inquiry form online here.
Summer Social Groups Now Enrolling
Club KIDA is excited to announce that our summer social groups are now enrolling! KIDA's social skills and community integration groups provide opportunities for positive peer interaction and social engagement in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Groups will be formed based upon age, needs, and abilities. Click here for more information.
The Challenger Division is a separate division of Little League that enables boys and girls with unique challenges an opportunity to participate in baseball. Teams are set according to abilities, rather than age, and can include as many as 15-20 players. We are excited to spotlight and cheer on Alexei and Naomi as they play in their league! On March 21, 2014, KIDA students enjoyed a fun-filled pajama-themed day. We transformed our multipurpose lecture room into a theater with oversized crash pads, bean bags, and comfortable seating for the students to lay back, relax, and enjoy a movie. Everyone enjoyed watching Frozen, while snacking on delicious treats and refreshments.
KIDA School students and their families attended a fun-filled trip to Sky High on March 7, 2014. Everyone had a great time jumping, bouncing, and crashing at the indoor trampoline park. It was a great opportunity to work on gross motor skills, social
interaction, following directions, and physical fitness!
Community-Based Instruction
The school staff is working hard to put together a community-based instruction trip. What better way to work on community safety, public transportation, and going to a restaurant to work on eating etiquette, than to go as a group and practice those skills in a fun and naturalistic setting? We have many great ideas to make learning functional skills more engaging and fun. We can't wait to share how it goes!
