Learn About KIZ & Other Tax Credits

Please join us on May 13 at the JARI Center from 11am to 1pm to learn about the Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) benefits. To qualify, your company must fall into one of these categories: Advanced Manufacturing, Information Technology, Healthcare or Energy. However, other information will be shared regarding additional tax credit opportunities. Speakers include Colton Weber, Economic Development Consultant II, PA Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED); Lindsey Bennett, Marketing Director, KIZ Resources, LLC and Michele Clapper, VP Economic Development, JARI. The cost is $5.00 and lunch will be provided!

JARI welcomes Bella Lucia as its latest Microloan borrower.  Bella Lucia manufactures, markets, warehouses and distributes gluten free cookies from their Altoona location.  Their primary niche is pizzelle cookies. Bella Lucia products may be found at Wegmans, Whole Foods and Hy.Vee Stores throughout the United States.

Emerging Leaders in Manufacturing

The Southern Alleghenies PREP Partnership is offering an "Emerging Leaders in Manufacturing" workshop on June 2 & 3 from 8:30am - 4:00pm at the Holiday Inn, Johnstown.

 

The training workshop, conducted by Catalyst Connection, will benefit managers in various roles who have potential to grow into upper management positions.

 

The program is grant-funded and offers a great learning experience as well as the benefit of a peer interaction  group.
