Kentucky Right to Life Association Commends President Trump for Nominating Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court
KRLA commends President Trump for his decision in nominating Judge Brett Kavanaugh of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia to fill the U.S. Supreme Court vacancy.

Diana Maldonado, president of KRLA, said Tuesday morning, “I believe the right to life of preborn babies has received a huge boost towards restoring the protection of law. Of course, we first have to receive the support of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee and then the Senate itself for this to happen.”

Since January 22, 1973 the pro-life movement, its leaders, and millions of citizens have labored to pass laws to protect innocent children from conception onward, knowing that its ultimate goal is to overturn the infamous U.S. Supreme Court decisions Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton that made abortion “legal” throughout our country. Over 60 million babies’ lives have been “legally” aborted since 1973. Thousands of women have also died or have been seriously injured and bear physical, mental and emotional scars from abortions.

Margie Montgomery, executive director of KRLA, cited Douglas Johnson, senior policy advisor to the National Right to Life Committee, who stated, “Judge Kavanaugh is exceptionally well qualified to sit on the U.S. Supreme Court – and like Judge Neil Gorsuch, he will be subjected to a smear campaign by those on the Left who are addicted to the imposition of social policy by judicial decree."

We trust that the U.S. Senate will rise to the occasion and protect all human life, both born and unborn.
