Are You Able to Serve?

We are looking for people to serve at 5pm Saturday worship. The service opportunities include, Greeters, Ushers and Communion Servers.  Many who serve on Saturdays help in all three areas. If you attend Saturday evening worship and are looking to serve, please contact Kim Kuhlman. Training is provided for all areas of service.

Family Mission Trip to Waco

Deadline to register is this week!  We'll travel to Waco for a weekend of learning and engaging in a service project at the World Hunger Relief International Farm and visit the Me thodist Boys Ranch in Waco. Trip is October 7-9, Cost: $100 for adults, $75 for children 12 and under.  Register here by September 7!
Ways to Help with Hurricane Support 
In addition to prayers, many have asked how you can help. The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is working with disaster coordinators and early response teams to provide relief to people whose lives have been impacted. You may also make a donation at and note Hurricane Relief. 

100% of funds will be used to purchase materials for UMCOR cleaning kits we will assemble Wednesday, September 6, after midweek Oasis. The Central Texas Conference will let us know of other needs are as soon as they are determined! 
Crafty Crafters
This UMW circle will meet HC9 Wednesday, September 6, from 9:30-11:30am. We will make mouse trap and clothespin magnetic note holders. Toni Bliss will also do a demonstration on how to make hair bows. The mission team to Haiti would like 100-125 to take with them. Click for complete schedule!
SAGES Gathering 
Wednesday, September 13, the SAGES will meet at 11:30am in DAC 409-412 for Meals on Wheels and Beyond followed by a covered dish luncheon. Steven R. Cook, Vice President of Client Services for Meals on Wheels, will be our speaker.
Bibles and Brews
Do you like beer? Have you ever picked up a Bible?  Come have a pint at our new connection group that begins September 12. We'll meet at What's On Tap in Keller Town Center at 6:30pm on Tuesdays and spend time digging deeper into the previous Sunday's sermon and how it might connect to our daily lives. College Care Ministry
Do you have a high school grad headed to college? Email Kim Kuhlman to get your student added to the College Care package ministry list. Include student's name and parent's name. You'll receive an email requesting further info on your student.  If you're new to the church and have a college student, we'd love to add them to the list.  Parents with kids from previous year's 'adoption' will soon receive an email about updating their student's information, please reply ASAP.  College Care Package adoptions will be on September 23-24 and September 30-October 1 at the Welcome Desk!
Children's Ministries
5th and 6th Grade Retreat at Sky Ranch
September 30-October 1 your child can explore and share their faith through Christian community with their peers. High energy weekend full of large group games, peer discussion groups, team building, zip lining, rock climbing, swimming and more! Cost for students: $125, cost for adults: $50.

Toddler Playgroup Fall Meet and Greet
Moms, dads or grown-ups of toddlers! Join our weekly playgroup and take part in a variety of activities with your little one while making friends with other children and parents. Monday, September 11, we will gather to kick off our Fall schedule. Join us in FLC 204 - childcare provided!

All kindergarten-6th grade children are invited to take part in Keller UMC's presentation of Kathie Hill's The Christmas Family Tree on December 3 at 6:30pm. Children in 3rd-6th grade are invited to audition for speaking roles and solos (October audition times tba). Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 6:15-7pm, in FLC 204/205 and begin tonight,September 6, with a parent meeting from 6-6:15pm. For details, contact Trey West.
Youth Ministries
Confirmation is a wonderful starting point within the United Methodist Church where students can delve deeply into the tenets of our faith and ask tough questions in a safe environment.  The next class begins  September 10 .
