Keeping You Connected

This newsletter is brought to you by your OCWM contributions.

...that one of the reasons people say they don't contribute is "All you ever talk about is what you need". Make giving about the donor. Find the connection between what your mission and ministries need and how that can inspire people to contribute.

2 More Opportunities
I am pleased to invite you to celebrate our covenant together at gatherings around our Associations. These celebrations were planned intentionally for convenience, to help us meet one another in different regional areas and for my introduction to our churches in different parts of Ohio. Each of the two remaining gatherings will include 45 minutes to meet and greet, followed by a 20 minute liturgy of installation.

Robes and red stoles are not required.

I am grateful to the churches that have agreed to host and offer hospitality. THANK YOU!

I look forward to celebrating with you!

Trying to Grow Your Church?
Here are some resources:
  • The National Church encourages local congregations to download and complete a profile every five years. Going through the profile's process of asking Who are we? Who is our neighbor? Who is God calling us to become? is an important first step to growth.
  • Completing a MissionInsight report deepens the answer to who our neighbor is.
  • Assessing your congregation's health is critical to what steps to do next.
  • Inviting one of our Vitality Team members or coaches to join you to create a plan makes it real.
Email Gary Halstead for more details.

Church Energy Use: Can We Harness Hope?
The Parish Paper is a wonderful resource to which the Ohio Conference has subscribed on behalf of all Ohio UCC churches. Each issue stands alone as a topic of interest and importance to being a living and growing congregation. With the Conference subscription, we in local churches and the associations have permission from the copyright holder to use the material per copyright restrictions. Please distribute only in its unaltered entirety.
