Keeping You Connected

This newsletter is brought to you by your OCWM contributions.

Helping to Beautify the Place in Which We Live
The annual yearbook online reporting is ready for you. All churches have been sent an information packet that includes instructions. You can also download the packet here. Please complete your report by Sunday, March 5. And please don't wait until the last minute! Darn near anything can happen, leaving you no time to meet the deadline. And if you don't make the deadline, your info won't show up in the yearbook or in any future 11-year report you need when it comes time to search for a pastor.
Search for Conference Minister
At the last Ohio Conference board meeting John Gantt set September 30 as the end date for his interim ministry with the Ohio Conference. A search committee has been formed and will seek a Transitional Conference Minister.

Shawn Thomas, Live in Concert
You are invited to one night of great music and great fellowship featuring Shawn Thomas. Shawn is a singer, songwriter and worship leader who will have you dancing in your seat. Come to The Church in Silver Lake (2951 Kent R, Silver Lake) for a free concert on February 3. Shawn will take the stage at 7:30PM.
Christian Ed Boundary Training
You are invited to attend Boundary Training for Christian Educators and Youth Leaders on Saturday, March 3, 9AM-12PM, at Pilgrim UCC (130 Broad Blvd, Cuyahoga Falls). Sprite Johnson, who has worked extensively with churches on Safe Church issues/policies, will lead a workshop on the use of technology; counseling/support of children, youth, and adults; diversity; language; personal behavior and disclosure; and confidentiality, among other topics. There will also be role-playing, discussion and time for Q&A. Snacks and lunch are included in the $10 fee. Bring copies of your Safe Church Policy and questions about policy/boundary challenges.
