...the from and subject lines in an email can be critical. People are on the lookout for spam and will delete an email if it's unclear who is sending it. People will skip over emails if it's unclear what it's about and how it benefits them to read it. Always identify your organization in the from line and provide a brief description or ask a question in the subject line that lets the reader know what the topic is.

Energy Star for Congregations
Did you know that most congregations can cut energy costs by up to 30% by investing strategically in efficiency? Churches can save money, become Energy Star certified, and care for creation. Learn more through a webinar on Wednesday, March 28 at 4PM. The presenter of this webinar will be Jerry Lawson, National Manager for Energy Star Small Business & Congregations at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The webinar will be hosted by the Rev. Dr. Brooks Berndt who oversees the UCC's Creation Justice Churches program as the Minister for Environmental Justice.

A Tapestry of Darkness
The Sanctuary Choir of Grace United Church of Christ of Loyal Oak (3285 Cleveland Massillon Rd, Norton) will present A Tapestry of Darkness on Good Friday, March 30, at 7PM. Comparing the events of Jesus' final hours to an ever-darkening tapestry of green, brown, white and red, Ruth Elaine Schram has written a truly poignant work for Holy Week. The cantata features expressive melodies that are interspersed with readings from prophecy and the gospels as candles are extinguished reflecting the approaching darkness.

Senior High Youth Event
Senior high youth are invited to attend Talking the Talk, Friday, April 13 through Sunday, April 15 at Templed Hills. What is sexual harassment? How do I know? #MeToo? Am I guilty of locker room talk? What does God and my faith have to do with all this sexuality thing? Senior high school youth are welcome to come to connect with other teens and adults to engage in these tough and important conversations. And there will be fun, too! After all, it is CAMP!
