I think we all agree that the best place for a child is home for the holidays. Mary Ellen and I have five daughters and we can only imagine what it must be like for any child to be homeless anytime, let alone during the holiday season.
That's why we and the NHMR's Young Professionals Network are holding a
Be Homeful
Fundraiser and here's how you can help!
For each $25 you donate, a Paddington plush bear or Paddington book will be given to a homeless child living in a shelter this holiday season.
The average cost to prevent a family from becoming homeless in Connecticut is only $1,000! So, if we all work together, for every 40 bears we donate, we can help keep one more family from becoming homeless.
So, please join us in giving the "bear" necessities to those children and families who are at risk of losing their homes. Give the gift of being home for the holidays!
