2018 Community Recognition Awards - Nominations Open!

In recognition of the valuable contributions of our community members, parents, and businesses we are pleased to open the nomination for the OCDSB Community Recognition Awards!

This is a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with our community and show our appreciation for the significant and valued work that our volunteers do in our schools for our students.

There are 5 different award categories including, Community Award, Community Partnership Award, Excellence in Equity Community Award, Distinguished School Council Service Award and Volunteer of the Year Award.

March Break - March 12-16, 2108
Extended Day Programs operated by the district will be open for children enrolled in the extended day programs or eligible to attend PA day programs during the March Break.

February 2018

2018-2019 School Year Calendar
The Board approved the new 2018-2019 school year calendar (Subject to Ministry approval in May, 2018)


Osgoode Area Programs and Boundaries
The Board approved the implementation of a new Early French Immersion program at Metcalfe Public School, beginning with Year 1 (JK) and phasing in one grade per year thereafter. In addition a revised Middle French Immersion attendance boundaries for Kars on the Rideau Public School and Metcalfe Public School effective September 2018. 


Trustee Determination and Distribution 2018-2022
Trustees approved the 2018-2022 Trustee Determination and Distribution which   reflects the changes to electoral zones approved by the board in October 2017, and directed staff to forward the report to the Minister of Education, the City clerk, city of Ottawa and the school boards within the jurisdiction of the OCDSB.

Code of Conduct
Upon review of the facts the Board finds that Trustee Blackburn has breached the Code of Conduct and formally censures Trustee Blackburn for failing to comply with the expectations for civil behaviour as established in the Code of Conduct.
