Kristen Gallant
North Tahoe High School
Kristen Gallant learned to downhill ski at age three and began Nordic skiing in first grade. She has loved the sport ever since. Having  lived in Tahoe City her whole life, she participated on the North Tahoe Middle and High School Nordic and cross country running teams. She participated in Mountain Camp and as a freshman in high school began coaching at Squaw Kids. Her motivation to provide kids with the same great experiences she enjoyed kept her working there for the past four winters. She's managed to nurture her love for the outdoors with summer jobs as a softball scorekeeper, swim instructor, and even deciding that restaurant work can be fun as well. In the fall, Kristen will attend Southern Oregon University, where she is considering an outdoor adventure leadership major, which she says is perfect for her.

"I couldn't be more excited for the future!" - Kristen
Quinn Lehmkuhl
North Tahoe High School

Quinn Lehmkuhl grew up in Tahoe. She began skiing at age two and later joined TXC's Strider Gliders. She instantly fell in love with Nordic and continued to ski through middle school and high school and plans to continue Nordic skiing through college. Her love for the outdoors spills over into other sports such as mountain biking, swimming and running as well. She loves science, especially biology and physiology, learning how the natural world and all living organisms work. She plans to study integrative physiology next year at CU Boulder and connect her love of sports with her love of science.
