Ring in the holidays this Saturday at the Highlands Ranch Mansion
There is nothing quite like an old-fashioned, community Holiday Celebration. Join us at the Highlands Ranch Mansion this Saturday, December 2 to ring in the holiday season. Horse drawn hay rides and Santa visits are just a few of the many festive activities featured at this year's celebration.

The Holiday Celebration is free and open to the public. All ages will enjoy music, gift and craft vendors, face painting, and reindeer games with prizes. Self-guided tours of the Mansion, a gingerbread-themed scavenger hunt and a visit with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office mounted patrol will be highlights of the day. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase.

Santa will arrive on a fire engine at 10:15 a.m. and will be at the Mansion until 3 p.m. talking to children about their Christmas wish lists. Entertainment will include performances by local elementary school choirs, and a holiday story time with Douglas County Libraries at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m.

Free event parking is available at Mountain Vista High School's student parking lot, 10585 Mountain Vista Ridge, Highlands Ranch . Shuttle buses will take guests from the school to the Mansion beginning at 9:45 a.m. No event parking is available at the Mansion.

After months of analysis and deliberation, the board of directors of the Highlands Ranch Metropolitan District has decided that in order to improve fire and emergency services for the residents and businesses of Highlands Ranch, it would be best to include the community in South Metro Fire Rescue. The decision ends a 37-year contractual arrangement with the City of Littleton and the Littleton Fire Protection District for services provided by Littleton Fire Rescue.
