Jul Medenblik
Earning God's Favor
Jul Medenblik is the President of Calvin Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, MI. He will help us understand  what it means to earn God's favor.  We are often caught in the extremes when it comes to understanding God's favor.  We tend to think it comes easy and liberally, or we are on the other end of the spectrum; we think God's favor comes only after a hard fought battle against our dark side.  The Bible reveals the key to finding God's favor in our lives.  Come hear Jul's message this weekend and get clarity about where you stand in relationship to God.
I am happy to welcome Jul to our church. Many years ago he was an elder in Lake Worth Christian Reformed Church, the church that gave birth to Sunlight.  I met him when he was a lawyer in West Palm and just considering God's call to full time ministry.  We then attended seminary together, planted churches in Chicagoland, and found much encouragement and fun in our friendship through the years.  I hope you'll join me in welcoming an old friend. - Pastor Kris

February 28, we will have the opportunity to celebrate the Lord's Supper. Use this week to prepare your heart.  Preparing your heart means we humbly seek God's grace for our sin and brokenness.  It does not mean we must be perfect to come to the table.  It means we come as people hungry for God's forgiveness and grace. If you need help understanding the Lord's Supper feel free to contact Pastor Kris ( kris@sunlightcc.org) and then come with joy as we celebrate God's love for us!
Hold on to your seats! We have new chairs coming!  The pews will soon be removed to make way for newer more flexible seating.  Excuse our mess while we make this transition.
