SLAMT1D, Inc. is a Vermont-based tax-exempt nonprofit organization with national reach. Their mission is to improve the lives of children, families and adults living with T1D (Type 1 diabetes).

Each year SLAMT1D hosts WIFFLE ball, 3-on-3 basketball tournaments and cornhole events to increase awareness of Type 1 diabetes (T1D) and support children, adults and their families living with this lethal, life-altering autoimmune disease. SLAMT1D tournaments blend the fun and nostalgia of America's favorite backyard games with Big League excitement, including Home Run Derbies, Opening Ceremonies and much more. Their events raise funds for T1D awareness, support, diabetes camps, scholarships, and T1D educational and mentoring programs.

Here in Vermont, SLAMT1D, Inc. has sponsored educational programs at the UVM's Vermont Children's Hospital that include, Teen and Parent Re-Teach and Life After High School. The organization has also helped create Vermont's first and only week-long, overnight camp for children and teens with T1D held at Camp Ta Kum Ta, July 8-13.
