The Opening Act

Club President Tom Hanson called the meeting of December 19th to order.
Provided the entertainment, once again, was Johnathan Turner and his New Christmas Mistrals.
Tom reminded us that we were attending the last Club meeting of 2016.  The next two Mondays we will not be meeting. The next meeting will be January 9th, in the joint meeting with Rotary, at which time Mayor Pauley will be giving the Annual State of the City Address.
Collections for the food pantry were very generous this week.
As a correction from last week's newsletter, the food distribution site until January, will be at the usual spot in Rock Island.  The next loading will be this Wednesday, December 21.
In Fun and Fellowship, the Kartel won the preliminary $4.00 prize, as well as the grand prize of a bottle of fine, red wine from Heinz 57 Vineyards.

The Feature Attraction

The program was given by Kristi Crafton.  As a special treat, she introduced the group to a holiday game.  The meeting wrapped up with people at the table talking among themselves, relating holiday plans or memorable holidays from the past.
