The Opening Act

Club President Chris Elsberg called the meeting of September 19th to order. Assisting, as always, in providing entertainment was Jonathan Turner and his balladeers.
Speaking of the Bags Tournament, Chris expressed her thanks to all of those who participated in the event over the weekend.
Chris also expressed that the Board had agreed to have a Bushell Basket for the Bains as a way of being able to provide a way for Club members to assist Adam's family in this difficult time.
Gene Smith gave a report on Duncan Reid. Apparently Duncan is back home and getting some of his upbeat spirit back.
Liz Loveless reported on the NAMI walk this Saturday. Liz stated that the Club has provided a number of volunteers as well as a commendable amount of money contributions.
Dining tour books are available and ready for purchase.
Sheila Guse is getting her game face on to serve as the Club's Cheese Whiz starting in November.
The food pantry will be up and running again this Wednesday.
There will be a Mega Club gathering October 13th at 12 noon at the River Center. If you haven't experienced this, you are heartily encouraged to do so.
Guests included an inner-club from Geneseo.
In fun and fellowship, Jen won the preliminary prize and Jim Horstmann won the bottle of freshly squeezed white wine from the vineyards of the Augustana organic top shelf.

The Feature Attraction

The program was given by Neil Turner. Neil's specialty is keeping the employee healthy, serving as a coach for a company by the name of Profile Sanford. He cited the important aspects of wellness as not smoking, getting people to exercise, healthy eating, and working for the benefit of both the employee and employer.
