The Opening Act
Club President Tom Hanson called the meeting of December 12th to order.
There were only a few reminders which were given to the group.  First, we were again reminded of the Davenport Club Tom & Jerry party.  A good time is always had by all, especially if you have made arrangements for transportation.  Stumbling down Brady Street hill is not the idea of a good time for most people.
Guests included the group that was to present our program, the Rock Island High School Chamber Singers.
Gene Smith announced to us that a site had been found for a food distribution site.
In fun and fellowship the Kartel won the month, and Jean Smith won a bottle wine from the vineyards of Johnson & Johnson.
One point that your editor missed in last week's newsletter, was the presentation of a 45-year Legion of Honor pin, presented to long-time and active member of the club, Dale Blocklinger.

The Feature Attraction

The program included a beautifully presented selection of seasonal and Christmas songs from the Rock Island High School Chamber Singers.  Hopefully we will be able to repeat this performance again.
