CHAPEL SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK:  Regular Chapel for Lower School
PSAT:   8, 9, 10
MEETINGS:  6, 7, 11, 12

On Tuesday, April 4, a two-person committee from the accrediting agency for our school, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) will visit St. John's. 

The visiting committee will be available for brief meetings with trustees, teachers, students, and parents throughout the day. Parents will be able to schedule a meeting with the visitors just prior to pick-up time--2:35 PM in the Conference Room. Please let administration know if you would like to attend. Additionally, the committee will give an exit report for the school community in the library at 4:00.  

If you are interested in purchasing a luminaria in honor of or in remembrance of a loved one affected by cancer, please see any Service Club member or Ms. Petra for a Luminaria form.  The luminaria will be lit up on the evening of Relay For Life in a special ceremony at GW field.  Luminaria is $12 each.  You may decorate it or have the SJS Knight Runners (our SJS Relay For Life team) decorate it for you! All the proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life which raises funds to support cancer research.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Petra in US 406.

Japan Bowl 2017
Six students from St. John's School will participate in the National Japan Bowl in Washington D.C. next week. Please wish them luck. (Gambatte)

Please use our many recycling bins around the school for your plastic, aluminum and metal containers. Please put items in the proper bins as marked. DO NOT put trash in any recycling bin. Mr. Pearson

Middle and Upper

The Environmental/Recycling Club meets every Tuesday at 12.25 pm in Mr. Pearson's room, US 104. Lots of opportunities to earn CAS credit if you are a Junior or Senior. If you are a member of NJHS or NHS, you may also earn community service hours. Mr. Pearson

Night Library takes place any night before a school day, so typically SUN through THURS, in the LRC, from 6-8pm. This is a place for QUIET study. No food or drink allowed in the LRC. Mr. Pearson

The next Roadside Clean Up is Sunday April 16th and April 30th at 8 a.m.   Bring water, wear a hat and sunscreen. Meet at the Lanai.  We should be done by noon.  Mr. Pearson
