This week with Rabbi Kinberg

Dear Kol Ami family,

I wish you nothing but joy and light at this season of short days. May your Hanukkah be filled with goodness and sense of place and a sense of pride in letting the light of the Menorah shine bright from our home. We will be having three very special Hanukkah events the weekend of 12/15-17. Each event is unique. Each is an opportunity to connect with our members and build community. We will be honoring all of our new members so far this year at our Friday night Hanukkah candle lighting at 7:30pm on 12/15. I look forward to celebrating with you all.
Many blessings and Happy Hanukkah,
Rabbi Kinberg

For your home celebration, a poem.
"The Coming of Light" by Mark Strand.
Even this late it happens:
the coming of love, the coming of light.
You wake and the candles are lit as if by themselves, stars gather, dreams pour into your pillows, sending up warm bouquets of air.
Even this late the bones of the body shine and tomorrow's dust flares into breath.
