This week with Rabbi Kinberg

The Hebrew term for gratitude is hakarat hatov, which means, literally, "recognizing the good." Practicing gratitude means recognizing the good that is already yours.
-Alan Morinis

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. This Shabbat we will focus on the theme of: ho'da'ah-Gratitude.
Friday night please join us for a post-Thanksgiving Shabbat Potluck-bring the best of your leftovers to share.
9am on Shabbat Morning we will join for Torah Study with a side mussar text study on gratitude. 10:30am we will gather for a special meditation service focused on the theme of gratitude.
Please consider bringing this Jewish blessing for gratitude to your Thanksgiving table. May each of you be blessed with abundance and joy.
I am truly grateful for all of the families who support Kol Ami and who bring Jewish life to our region.
Many blessings,
Rabbi Kinberg
A Thanksgiving Prayer By Rabbi Naomi Levy
For the laughter of the children,
For my own life breath,
For the abundance of food on this table,
For the ones who prepared this sumptuous feast,
For the roof over our heads,
The clothes on our backs,
For our health,
And our wealth of blessings,
For this opportunity to celebrate with family and friends,
For the freedom to pray these words
Without fear,
In any language,
In any faith,
In this great country,
Whose landscape is as vast and beautiful as her inhabitants.
Thank You, God, for giving us all these. Amen.
