Maccabiah 5777

We had a huge surprise on Tuesday morning as we announced Maccabiah 5777! Wednesday was filled with exciting Maccabiah activities sports, swim races, dancing competitions, beautiful banner presentations, and the highlight of our day, a camp-wide relay race. We are so proud of the teamwork and positive competitive spirit our campers and staff showed throughout the day.

Camp News
Ramah Sport

Ramah Sport specialty camp provided an action-packed week of professionally coached basketball, baseball, soccer, kickball, flag football, capture the flag, and Ultimate FrisbeeOur chanichim (campers) continued to build on their athletic skills and teamwork while gaining confidence and pride.
Makers - Imagination Station
Our younger chanichim love using their hands and imaginations to work both individually and collaboratively on projects using everyday materials including cardboard, cups, straws, and more. Jess Feiwus, Rosh Makers, guides chanichim in projects that include designing games (nok-hockey boards), building models of the Kotel, creating a zoo, and making puppets, houses, and stores in a mall!  
Gifts in Honor of your Children's Counselors
If you would like to acknowledge your child(ren)'s counselors or other staff members in a meaningful way, please consider a donation in their honor to Ramah Day Camp in Nyack.

Staff members will receive beautiful Rosh Hashanah e-cards, containing the names of campers and families who recognized their work. If you have already made a donation in honor of your child(ren)'s counselors, your names will be included.

Tuesday, August 1 is Tisha B'Av
Tisha B'Av is a fast day, and the majority of our staff will be fasting. We will not permit our campers to fast unless we hear from you. We will have one instructional swim on Tuesday.  If you do not want your child to swim please send your child to camp wearing his/her clothes without a swimsuit.

Parents are invited to join our staff for weekly evening learning sessions. Click here to see our full summer schedule. Sessions include a choice of multiple topics. Please call the office at (845) 358-6240 before 3 p.m. on the day of the program to RSVP

We are delighted to co-host Bim Bam Shabbat with PJ Library of Rockland County, a pre-Shabbat celebration for toddlers, pre-schoolers, and their grownups. Join us every Friday (rain or shine) through August 11 at 9:30 a.m. here at Ramah Nyack.
