They're In! The Class of 2018 Starts College

Our first-gen freshmen have arrived on campuses across the country! All of them have been accepted to four-year colleges and 81% are attending top-tier schools.* Thanks to their hard work in our Saturday, summer, and after-school classes, none need remedial coursework in college and they've been awarded over $1.8 million in scholarships and grants for their first year alone. Our expert College Scholars team is helping them to adjust to campus, select courses, and build study skills. In all, we serve 348 College Scholars on 132 campuses across 26 states.

Kravis Visits Summer Academy

New SEO chairman Henry R. Kravis met Scholars, teachers and staff at Summer Academy in New York City this past July. He definitely enjoyed being back in the classroom--as you can see in these photos. Thanks to our partner Baruch College for hosting Summer Academy in NYC this year.

In San Francisco: Our First 12th Grade Class

They started with us as 9th graders back in 2011 when we first launched in San Francisco. Now they're confident 12th graders ready to apply to college. We can't wait for their acceptance letters to come in! Two Scholars have already been selected by ScholarMatch to receive scholarships to the colleges of their choice.
