Kurt Evans to lead engineering association

The American Council of Engineering Companies of Louisiana has elected Kurt Evans of Digital Engineering in Kenner as the group's president for 2017-18.

ACEC/L also elected Raymond J. Reaux of C.H. Fenstermaker & Associates in Lafayette as president-elect; Andy Craig of Mohr & Associates in Shreveport as vice-president; and David Dupre of Meyer Engineers in Metairie as secretary-treasurer. Immediate Past President Bob Schmidt of Huval & Associates in Baton Rouge was elected as national director. The national director sits on the ACEC national board and serves as a state representative to the national association.
 
Members at large for 2017-18 include Steven R. Robertson of John J. Guth Associates in Shreveport; J. Ryan Spillers of Lazenby & Associates in West Monroe; Andree F. Cortez of T. Baker Smith in Thibodaux; Lynne E. Roussel of Terracon in Baton Rouge; Alison Catarella-Michel of Urban Systems in New Orleans; and Michael B. Songy of CSRS in Baton Rouge.
 
Chapter presidents include D. Brad Graff of Cothren, Graff, Smoak Engineering, Shreveport chapter; R. Craig Campbell of Associated Design Group, Lafayette chapter; Nathan J. Junius of Linfield, Hunter & Junius, New Orleans chapter; and Michael J. Thomassie of Duplantis Design Group, Baton Rouge chapter.
 
The officers, members at large and chapter presidents comprise the board of governors for ACEC/L.

The American Council of Engineering Companies of Louisiana consists of more than 140 member firms. ACEC/L was founded in 1950 and is a voluntary, non-profit professional organization serving member engineering companies.
