Jenny Sandoval (BA English/Music) – is a certified teacher in Texas and spent 6 years in the public school classroom where she taught Choir/General Music at schools in San Marcos and Kyle, Texas. Jenny has taught music privately for the last 15 years teaching voice, piano, clarinet, guitar, bass guitar, and composition.

She has a passion for music. She is not only an experienced private and choral teacher, but also an avid singer/songwriter and has recorded two CDs.

When Jenny is not at church doing music ministry activities, or in private lessons, you can find her playing with her beautiful triplet girls, making pumpkin pie for her son, playing dolls with her eldest daughter or having coffee with her best friend, her mom.

We want to Welcome Jenny Sandoval to KUMC as our Director of Music. Jenny is very excited to become a part of KUMC. Jenny loves to do music with VBS, and is interested in developing a Music Program for Children and Youth. As well, weekly she will lead the Choir and Praise Band to offer Praise to our Lord and Savior through music during our Worship Services.  We look forward to worshiping with Jenny, her husband Gilbert, and their five precious children; Blaine, Abigayle, Claire, Dorothy and Elizabeth!

BLESSINGS BOX

Our Blessings Box is getting utilized by the community, which is great, but that also means that it is getting emptied out quite frequently. Please consider donating non-perishable food items, diapers, personal care items and snack food items (goldfish, raisins, etc) if you are able.

One person from the community told us she visits the Blessings Box at least twice a week and is especially grateful for the diapers and kid friendly foods. She says she stops by on the way to take her kids to the park and can almost always find a snack for them.
June Diaper Drive

Thank you to everyone who came to the Donuts and Diapers Kickoff party for our June Diaper Drive. We collected lots of diapers and wipes last Sunday but as you probably know, babies need a LOT of diapers and these will go fast!

If you didn't get a chance to bring diapers (or wipes) last weekend, you can bring them to the Fellowship Hall any time in June.

Our hope is to get a "back stock" of diapers to restock the Blessings Box as needed.

Each Christmas, The Burke Center for Youth is one of the deserving causes that benefits from the KUMC Angel Tree.

They are hosting a Ditch the Road Trail Run - a 5k benefitting the center on Saturday, September 8th and KUMC would like to participate! Please join us!
You can sign up at  http://tinyurl.com/18ditchroad
and visit their website www.burkecenterforyouth.org for more information about the center.
