It's our favorite time of year -- when we go to the ASLA Annual Meeting and get to see so many of you who make LAF the success that it is! Join us in Chicago (or in spirit) to kick off a year-long celebration of LAF's 50th anniversary. The party starts Friday night at LAF's Annual Benefit where we recognize the 2015 Olmsted Scholars. The fun continues with friends and colleagues at the LAF photobooth in the ASLA Expo on Saturday and Sunday. Get smarter about landscape performance by attending LAF's education session on Friday, and join us Monday at the ASLA Professional Awards Ceremony to recognize this impactful work.

Extraordinary Gift Creates New $20,000 Award
LAF Honor Scholarship in Memory of Joe Lalli
A generous gift from Jeanne Dawson-Lalli created a new $20,000 scholarship to be awarded annually to a student pursuing a Master's degree in landscape architecture. The scholarship was established in memory of Joseph J. Lalli, FASLA (1943-2014) and his 46-year career as a landscape architect, artist, philanthropist, mentor, and teacher. Joe was the chairman and former president of the firm EDSA and had more than 500 projects to his credit in 40 countries. He was a persuasive leader, well-known and admired for his modesty and generosity. Joe experienced great value in his Master's degree and wanted to help make the opportunity for graduate education accessible to others.
