June 21, 22, 23, 2018
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day

Class will meet at various locations in Louisville, CO $250.00 (discounted fee available for LAA members)
Join Dennis Pendleton in historic Louisville, Colorado, for a picturesque plein air painting 3-day workshop. From the old wooden frame buildings with shady porches and shuttered windows to the grain elevator near the railroad tracks, stimulating subject ideas abound. The focus of this workshop is how to simplify a subject using light and shadow and by not including everything you see. Dennis will demonstrate lessons on painting windows and doorways, masonry, trees and foliage, and flower gardens with picket fences. With one-on-one guidance and friendly critiques, be amazed at your progress and have fun in the process. Some watercolor experience necessary.

Open to all mediums . Though Dennis will be demonstrating in watercolor, the principles that will be discussed and demonstrated apply to all.

Dennis Pendleton is a full-time watercolor artist and has taught at the Art Students League of Denver for 25 years. He has won numerous local and national awards.
