ANNOUNCEMENTS
CELA 2015  will begin this Tuesday afternoon, March 24, with pre-conference workshops and a special presentation by David Abram, author of The Spell of the Sensuous, at 7 pm in the Alumni Center. That presentation and the CELA Keynote by Lauren Bon, Metabolic Studio, at 9 am on Wednesday morning, March 25, in the Alumni Center, are open to the public. Please make plans for students in your classes to attend and invite colleagues from across campus. 

We may be short on room moderators, particularly on Thursday morning. Please e-amil Stephanie today if you are willing to moderate a half day of sessions, or more, on Wednesday or Thursday.
 
Please e-mail Stephanie today if you plan to travel with our conference guests to the Konza Prairie on Thursday afternoon.

Thank you to all for of your attention to making CELA 2015 an excellent representation of our department, college and university.

Landscape Architecture classes without outside enrollment will not meet March 25-27. Please be sure that your students know that they can attend the meeting by volunteering (see Stephanie) or registering on site.
OUR CONTRIBUTIONS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Assistant Professor Alpa Nawre will join the Journal of Architectural Education Editorial Board for a three year term beginning July 2015.

Associate Professor Katie Kingery-Page will present Why We Need the Landscape Idea in Public Schools at the K-State Spotlight on March 24 in Forum Hall, 7-10 pm.

Final deadline to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations at SER's 6th World Conference on Ecological Restoration extended until Friday, March 20. 

The APDesign membership to EDRA offers a reduced individual membership rate of $125 to our faculty (a $50 discount). You may use this as your one membership covered by the Dean or, if you have already used that benefit, use your RSCA funds to pay for the membership.
