Assistant Professor Anne Beamish u ndertook archival research at the City Archives and Boston Public Library August 10-16 in Boston, MA.
The 2015 Community Planning and Design Studio studio book Parcels and Peppers: Savory Ideas for Addressing Vacancy in St. Louis is now available for download and hardcopy purchase. More information about the studio can be found here.

Professor and Head Stephanie Rolley was invited to facilitate the A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communications' curriculum retreat on August 21.

The Creative Placemaking Net at Kansas State University, a group of six landscape architecture students and one faculty member, are interested in the potential of art and design to influence place. As they embark upon yearlong projects they will be updating a blog, found here.

Professor Anthony Nussmeier, the new Italianist in the Modern Languages Department, invites LARCP students to integrate Italian language into their studies. You can study Italian, more information here (link pdf), and participate in "Circolo Italiano" (Italian Club), more information here (link doc)  with meetings held every other Thursday at 6pm (beginning September 3 at Arrow Coffee). Join students of Italian of all levels, native speakers, and K-State faculty members for relaxed and interesting conversation in and about Italian! Circolo italiano will also show Italian films and sponsor events featuring other aspects of Italian culture. These activities are in addition to the Italian language class that APDesign students participating in the college Italian studies program take.
