As we wrap up the 2015-2016 academic year, I want to thank you for . . .
- your patience and resilience in moving to APDWest this year;
- the creativity and critical thinking you applied to your coursework; and,
- your enthusiasm for planning and landscape architecture.
 
I wish you a wonderful summer with the right mix of relaxation and exploration to ensure that you come back refreshed in the fall! Please watch for the Canvas LARCP iNSTRUCTIONS course with all of the details about beginning of the semester activities.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
It's about time to move out of studio. All students need to be moved out of studio by the end of the day Friday, May 20.
 
Steps to check out:
1)  Remove monitor arm. There will be a box of ziplock bags and tape in the studio area. Place the monitor arm screws into a ziplock bag and tape to the monitor arm and leave on the top of the desk.
2)  Remove all personal items.
3)  Throw out any trash and recycle any recyclables.
4)  Put an LARCP stool by your desk.

The Kansas State University Student Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects is hosting a BBQ at City Park on Tuesday, May 10th! Join us at 5:00 at the south pavilion to welcome the incoming landscape architecture students. We will be grilling brats and hotdogs, we'll provide chips and beverages, and we will be playing frisbee, sand volleyball, and various yard games! We hope to see you there!

Assistant Professor Gregory Newmark will present From Bike-Sharing to Bike-Provisioning: Equity Lessons from the Green Apple Bike Experiment with student Andrew Young at Makeover Montgomery 3 Conference in Silver Spring, MD May 4-7.

Assistant Professor Brent Chamberlain received a $9,433 grant from Global Campus supporting development of a course, Geographic Information Systems for Planning, for online delivery.

Professor and Head Stephanie Rolley participated in the Landscape Architecture Foundation Board of Directors mid-year meeting in Washington, D.C. April 28-29.

Weigel Library will close at 5 pm Friday, May 13 and re-open Monday, May 16, at 8 am; being closed Saturday and Sunday, May 14 and 15.

Summer hours for Weigel Library, unless otherwise posted, are Monday through Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm; closed weekends. The hours can be found on Weigel's website.

All patrons are reminded to return library items to Weigel before leaving campus. You can return Hale and/or Interlibrary loan books to Weigel. You can pay any fines/fees with cash or check in Weigel or online through your "MyLibrary Account".
