Students in PLAN 640 Urban Design and Development Seminar, led by Associate Professor
Belanger, are developing streetscape and urban design recommendations to improve physical infrastructure and pedestrian safety on the town's primary commercial corridor. Angela Schnee of Ogden Planning and Zoning Department and Stephanie Watts, Senior Transportation Manager with the Flint Hills Metropolitan Planning Organization provided project background and input during a design charrette on Nov. 12.
Assistant professor Anne Beamish presented "Before Parks: Public Landscapes in Colonial American Cities" at the Society for American City and Regional Planning History (SACRPH) Conference in Los Angeles, CA, Nov.5-8.

|The City of Manhattan is applying for a KDOT Transportation Alternatives Grant to extend the Linear Trail by 1.25 miles. Currently, the trail, after passing through the pedestrian tunnel under the intersection at Tuttle Creek Blvd & Marlatt Ave, ends abruptly with no destination.
