The month of July has just flown by. Between family gatherings (and emergencies) and preparations for our display at Road America, there was no time to produce an Email Update these past few weeks. Sorry about that, but we'll try to bring you up to speed in the next few paragraphs:
2012 LeMans Models
Between Spark and Fujimi, the entire field from the 2012 24 Hours of LeMans will again be modeled in 1/43 scale. Fujimi will do the 9 Ferrari 458 Italias
from the GTE classes, Spark plans to do everything else
, including the Nissan DeltaWing
. We have uploaded each model to our Online Shopping Website
and although we don't expect deliveries to begin for at least 5-6 months, we strongly recommend advance orders.
2011 LeMans Models
Several 1/43 scale models of LeMans 2011 entries arrived in July including the BBR #58 and #59 Ferrari 458 Italias. Priced at just $125.00 each and produced in Limited Editions of 100, these may be the most desireable of the 2011 LeMans Collection. The price tag on the 2012 BBR LeMans Ferraris are said to be three times that amount!
We expect a small restock of the 1/43 2011 LeMans Winning Audi R18 to arrive from Spark in the next week or so. This may be your last opportunity to add one to your collection. We also hope to finally see the #68 Robertson Ford GT later this summer.
Our remaining 2011 LeMans model selection is available HERE.
Minichamps has released 1/43 scale models of 4 different Ford GT40 MkII's from the 1966 racing season including the LeMans winning McLaren/Amon machine, the LeMans entry driven by Dan Gurney and Jerry Grant, the Spa 1000 car of Whitmore and Gardner and the Ken Miles LeMans Test Car shown above. The new MkII features a movable tail section that lifts to show a nicely detailed engine compartment. All four are in stock now.

Later today, we expect delivery of one of the best looking Formula One cars of the 1970s: the Martini Brabham BT44B. I'll post photos of the 1/43 scale Minichamps diecast of the 1975 German GP winning #7 Carlos Reutemann car on our front page and Facebook page later today.
Check out other recent Minichamps arrivals HERE.
Bizarre's long-lost Mickey Thompson 'Challenger 1' has finally arrived. Few remain. Order HERE.
We're hearing nothing but rave reviews from those who have seen initial samples of CMC's first 1/18 scale 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder. The Red 'open edition' is expected to land here in the US next month. Save 10% off the $438.00 list price and reserve one HERE
We're seeing a brisk secondary market in certain 1/18 scale Carousel 1 models recently. This week, we are offering a mint condition Jim Clark STP Lotus 38 from the 1966 Indianapolis 500. At $475.00, it's priced lower than current eBay offerings. Snag it HERE

We should return to our regular Email Update schedule next week. I'll be making a quick day trip down to Indianapolis Friday to meet up with fellow AAR fans to cheer Alex Gurney and the Red Dragon on to victory in the first ever Rolex Sports Car race at the vernerable Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Jeff will be here Friday and I will return (probably a bit worse for wear) Saturday morning at 10am.
Talk to you soon!
PS - Thanks to T.E. Warth for the photo featured in today's banner.
