LATINA Style Announces the 2013 Top 5 Hispanic Employee Resource Groups of the Year  Hispanic Organization for Leadership and Achievement (HOLA), Johnson & Johnson, Selected as Employee Resource Group

Washington, D.C., December 12, 2013- LATINA Style Inc., the premier organization addressing the needs of Latina professionals, civic leaders, entrepreneurs, and college students, names the Hispanic Organization for Leadership and Achievement (HOLA), of Johnson & Johnson, as the 2013 Top Employee Resource Group of the Year. HOLA receives recognition for their commitment to diversity and inclusion with a focus on the Hispanic community.

Since 2010, LATINA Style has recognized and honored the Top 5 Hispanic Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) in the country. ERGs provide growth for their members, assist in business goals, and are key resources to a company's bottom line. "As corporations utilize the incredible human and market intelligence potential of their own employees their bottom line also benefits," said Robert E. Bard, President & CEO of LATINA Style Inc. "ERG's create not only opportunities for employees to exchange challenges and successes but also make significant contributions. We applaud Johnson & Johnson for their efforts in recognizing the potential of their human capital and making effective use of it." With 12 years of existence, HOLA has managed to support its Hispanic employees, not only nationally, but internationally.  HOLA's leadership is highly structured which results in effective and impactful work that not only benefits the company but the community.  A highlight of this group includes its involvement in various external and internal programs that promotes health amongst the Latino community.

Other distinguished 2013 Employee Resource Groups recognized for exceptional leadership and vision are:  HACEMOS of AT&T, Sodexo Organization of Latinos (SOL) of Sodexo, Association of Latinos at MassMutual and Allies (ALMMA) of MassMutual Financial Group, and Hispanic Initiative Team (HIT) of General Motors.  These ERGs are great examples of how companies can utilize these groups to connect and empower the local community, provide mentoring and training resources to its members, and aid in the innovation and reinvigoration of a company's business.  There were two additional companies who demonstrated innovative work, and are included in in this year's Top 5 Employee Resource Groups as honorable mentions: Team Member Networks- Latin Connection of Wells Fargo, and GE Hispanic Forum (GEHF) of General Electrics. This year's "Top 5 Hispanic Employee Resource Groups" are highlighted in the 2013 Nov/Dec Issue of LATINA Style Magazine.

The Top 5 Employee Resource Groups will be recognized at the 11th Annual LATINA Style 50 Awards & Diversity Leaders Conference on Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm in Washington D.C.
