  • Have recycling containers obvious and easy to access for party guests.

  • Shop using reusable shopping bags. They also make great gifts.
  • Use reusable plates, napkins and silverware when holiday entertaining.


Holiday Tree Recycling
  • Dec. 26 - Jan. 6: Drop your holiday tree off at one of 12 locations throughout Long Beach.

  • Jan. 7: If you have City collection service, place your tree out where your recyclables are normally collected by 7a.m. and it will be picked up for recycling.
HHW Event | Saturday, Dec. 10th
Dispose of fats, oils and grease (FOG) properly, not down the drain or in the trash. Bring it with unwanted e-waste, HHW and used tires to the next collection event: 9am - 2pm,  2755 California Ave. in Signal Hill. View the complete list of items accepted at all events.

Holiday Schedule
  • Street sweeping and associated parking control will not occur on Monday, Dec. 26th & Jan. 2nd.
  • Parking meters with holiday exemptions will NOT be enforced on Dec. 25th & Jan.1st. All meters and time zones WILL be enforced on Dec. 24th & 31st.
  • Refuse/Recycling Collection will occur on its regular schedule.
