June 2017 Get Ready for Summer!
Recycling Can Be Refreshing

Get ready for summer picnics and outdoor recreation. Up your reusable & recycling game.

  • Check the bottom of food and beverage containers. Any plastic container with one of these symbols (right) can be recycled.
  • Save money by buying in bulk and using reusable containers for your outings.
  • Carry recycling and litter bags in your car to recycle more and to keep LB parks and beaches litter free.
  • Use reusable water bottles whenever possible.

By using reusable drink containers, an average person can eliminate the need for 100 disposable bottles per year.
