Summer 2019 Internship Program Update
|
|
With less than one month before school is dismissed for the summer, Long Beach CaLL is proud to announce that
64 employers
(see list below) have partnered with us to provide internships for our talented high school students! That’s a 20% increase from last summer! These businesses represent every industry sector, ranging from building and construction trades, to public service to hospitality and more. Many LBUSD departments will also host interns this summer: supporting its own students, interns will pitch in at, among others, Nutrition Services, Facilities, Information Services, Research & Evaluation and the Office of Multimedia Services.
CaLL knows that its success is primarily based on the skills and persistence of the students who apply for internships. We also know that making the process easy for employers, rigorous pre-screening of students and appreciation for all involved also contribute. We truly value our summer internship program partners for providing what could be a life-changing experience for a deserving high school student.
