LEC is Starting a Full Service
Low Voltage Division
hiring
LEC is currently looking to hire a hands-on division manager to spearhead our new low voltage division.  We are looking for an individual well versed in fire alarms, voice/data/ CATV, and other basic systems. Candidates must have their power limited technician's license, five years of experience, and it is a major plus if they are certified by Commscope to install Commscope Systimax cabling. This person would lead a small team and must be capable of helping to specify systems in mostly design-build environments.

In addition to the low voltage manager position, we have immediate openings to hire quality master, journeyman and apprentice electricians to support our growing business.  Please let us know if you know of any hard working detail-oriented people who are well versed in commercial, industrial and healthcare construction and maintenance.

Contact Matt Bergmann at [email protected] if you know of any candidates that may be interested in these opportunities.

Happy Spring?!? We Think...

We hope this newsletter finds you and your business well as LEC has seen a surge in new construction and increased buyer confidence since late last Fall. Despite mother nature's efforts to drown out the construction industry and skip the entire season of Spring, we have been fortunate and have added five field employees over the past two months.  If you see them out in the field please give a warm welcome to Jason W, Mark G, Christian, Matt Y, and Jacob M. Things are getting confusing around here when we have six employees that share first names. We are sure it is only a matter of time before they will develop nicknames to keep everyone sane.

Projects related to healthcare have been a catalyst for our growth at LEC and below we have highlighted a few of the projects we have underway.  We are also working on several new restaurants and existing remodels among many other projects.  Below are a few highlights of projects we have been fortunate enough to be awarded and working on currently.

If you are looking to expand your reach for electrical subcontractors, we encourage you to give us a chance to earn your business.  We've grown our business over the last 40 years by being perfectionists and dedicated to top craftsmanship methods.  Our attention to detail and unwillingness to cut corners has made us one of the most reputable electrical subcontactors in the state of Minnesota.
Project Highlights: Maple Grove Center
for Restorative Surgery &
Woodbury Surgical Suites

LEC is currently helping to construct two surgery centers, in Maple Grove and Woodbury, MN.  Each of these projects are fast-tracked 90 day projects and play to our strengths as a company.  Maple Grove Center for Restorative Surgery is a two level, 6,500 sq. ft project, Woodbury Surgical Suites is a single level 7,500 sq. ft project.

A preview of some of the homeruns in the electrical room in Maple Grove.

Each center features nurse call systems, new fire alarm systems, low voltage systems, voice/data/CATV,generators with duct banks and three transfer switches per facility. In the Maple Grove project we've ran approximately 4.5 miles of EMT pipe and pulled 15 miles of wire. The general contractor that selected LEC as their partner on these projects is Brinkmann Constructors of Chesterfield, MO.

In the last year LEC completed six major healthcare projects and has four significant size medical projects currently under construction.
If you would like to discuss any upcoming healthcare project opportunities with our team or need assistance on the design or engineering of your next facility, please contact Chris Bergmann at [email protected]  or 952-442-2740.
LEC Awarded Two-Story, 41,000 square foot expansion of Ridgeview Professional Building in Waconia, MN

4.25.14 - Waconia, Minn.  - Today LEC was selected by Mortenson Construction as their design-build electrical contractor and engineer of record for the two story vertical expansion of the Ridgeview Professional Building.

This project will consist of a two story 41,000 square foot vertical expansion, new electrical distribution, new generator, new parking lot, site lighting and a covered walkway to connect Ridgeview's buildings. LEC's team was selected on a best value proposal based on team, project experience, design-build approach, innovative ideas and project cost. Upon completion of this expansion, this building will have the appropriate considerations to expand an additional two floors beyond this phase of construction.

LEC was the electrical contractor and electrical engineer of record on the original four-story 80,000 sq. ft medical office building back in 2008.  We are thrilled to work again with Mortenson and also help our mutual client of 39 years, Ridgeview Medical Center.

The project is anticipated to break ground in July of this year.

Thank You!!
