PARENT AND STUDENT REMINDERS
STUDENT PICK UP: If you need to pick up your student during the day, we ask that you please send a note with your student in the morning with a time that you will be picking them up. That way we can write them a pass to hand to their teacher when it's time to leave. This avoids having to disrupt classes by calling in looking for a student.

BUS PASSES: If your student will be riding the bus home with a friend, please send a letter in the morning indicating who he/she will be going home with. We will then issue a bus pass.

LATE START: Late starts are the second Thursday of each month. On those days, school begins at 9:30 a.m. We ask that students not be dropped off earlier than 9:20 a.m. Buses run 2 hours later than normal pick up time.

LATE BUSES: Late buses run as follows:
Monday - Thursday: 3:35 p.m., 4:20 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Friday: 3:35 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

LATEX BALLOONS; We have students with latex allergies so please, no latex balloons.

WATER BOTTLES: Students are allowed to have water bottles during the school day - WATER ONLY. Please, no other liquids.
WELCOME NEW STUDENTS!
New 7th and 8th grade students enjoyed a "welcome lunch" today at LGMS.

Welcome students!
We're happy you're here!!
DESTINATION IMAGINATION OPEN HOUSE
Destination Imagination (DI) is a volunteer-led, educational program that teaches 21st century skills and STEM principles to K-12th graders through creative and collaborative problem solving challenges. DI is one of the many programs in our Lake Geneva Schools Gifted & Talented Education program.

DI team members work together to develop a solution to one of 7 open-ended (age-appropriate) challenges and present their solutions at tournaments. Through the Challenge program, students learn and experience the creative process from imagination to innovation, and learn skills needed to succeed in school, career and life, including teamwork, communication, project management, perseverance, creative and critical thinking, and self-confidence.

Open House will be held on the following dates (across from LGMS);
Monday, September 18th @ 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday, September 19th @ 6:00 p.m.

Offerings On Our LGMS Website
Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)

Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
