Robert Pignatello
Welcome to The Haven!

On July 1, Robert Pignatello began his tenure as Lock Haven University’s 15th President.

Pignatello is excited for his new role as LHU’s next leader and brings with him more than 20 years of experience as a senior executive and administrator in higher education.
 
During his first week, Pignatello has visited with various offices on campus, greeted new students, met with Haven alumni, and has begun enjoying the beautiful surroundings of his new home.

President Pignatello's First Message
At The Haven, students work closely with our dedicated and exceptional faculty, staff, and coaches who deliver to them an enriching experience and outstanding curriculum. We also offer real-world exposure through internships, meaningful volunteer work that improves the lives of the local community and the Commonwealth, as well as numerous study abroad choices that put our students’ knowledge into practice.

Q&A with President Pignatello
Upon his arrival, we sat down with President Pignatello for a Q&A session to learn a little bit more about LHU's new President.

What attracted you most to LHU, making you want to be the next president?

"The Haven’s mission is a very compelling one and I was also attracted by the importance of the University to the city, county, region, and beyond as an economic driver and an engine for upward mobility. The more I learned about The Haven, the more my interest grew..."

Congratulations to employee of the month Doug Spatafore . Doug serves as the Director of Sports Information and Marketing.

Nominators describe Doug as one of the most dedicated workers, alumni, and fans of the University. “Doug is a tireless worker and deserves to be recognized for his tremendous achievements. He does an outstanding job promoting LHU's athletic programs. He attends every athletic event to not only keep statistics, but also is a leader in operations, runs the athletics social media, and the golhu.com website.
