Now through August 17, visit LIC's Chain Theatre for a showcase of screenings by the NYC film community. The festival is organized by Variations Theatre Group, the Resident Company of the Chain Theatre. After much success with developing new work in their annual Harvest Festivals, Unchained Theatre Festival, and Minor Variations Playwrighting Lab, VTG is now encouraging the development of art in the film medium.

This summer, the Long Island City BID launched an Ambassador service aimed to enhance the experience business owners, workers, residents and visitors in the district. A full-time Ambassador is now helping people get from place to place, monitoring quality of life issues and maintaining a visible presence in the BID, acting as an on-street point of contact between those in the district, the larger LIC neighborhood, and the Long Island City Partnership. Look out for our new Ambassador as well as brand new trash bins to help keep our area litter-free.

The LIC Partnership is seeking a new Director, Industrial and Commercial Business Assistance. This position encompasses both direct services to industrial and commercial businesses in the Long Island City area, as well as development of policy and district initiatives at the local, city, state and federal levels. Click here to view the job description and apply for this position.
