There's another six weeks of chilly winter weather, so why not settle in and enjoy some of the hot new dishes in LIC?

mr nilsson - Longtime Long Island City restaurateur Leslie Nilsson gets back to her Nordic roots with a new dinner-only tasting menu . Two chefs, who honed their skills at Eleven Madison Park and Momofuku, among other notable establishments, will share their tasting menu talents.

The Baroness - This perfect for post-work wine, beer, and champagne-sabering bar is now offering lunch Tue-Fri. Check out their pizzettas and BBQ sandwiches.

The Beast Next Door - The Queens Plaza/Court Square newbie is offering a happy hour and a midnight special.

Plus, we hear that Dutch Kills Centraal has a revamped menu with changes to their flavor profile, and M Wells Dinette is offering a new sandwich menu, including a famed spaghetti sandwich.

Celebrate and recognize over live music, food, and a tasting of Queens' best brews -- Big Alice, Finback, Rockaway, SingleCut -- on Queens Brewers Night this Sat 2/7 from 7 pm to 10 pm, at The Local NY, a new boutique hotel in Long Island City.
