Boston community leader Mrs. Julia Martin will headline LIPSTICK's first workshop with the BHA.

The new partnership will bring our work to reduce female gun crimes to vulnerable women and girls in public housing.

Mrs. Martin will share why she refused to allow her children and grandchildren to hide guns in her home. She's leading the way for other mothers and grandmothers to do the same. Come meet the remarkable Julia Martin--a LIPSTICK Lady before her time!

Like Mrs. Martin, Boston Public Safety Director Dan Mulhern has been a life-saving force in Boston. As a former Assistant District Attorney, Dan ran the Gang Unit and Safe Neighborhood Initiative. He was an early and ardent supporter of LIPSTICK's work to keep guns out of the wrong hands.

Dan will share real cases about women caught with guns illegally--why they did it, what happened to the women, how the guns impacted our community, and how we can break cycles of exploitation and violence.
