Bridges to Career Opportunities (BCO) combines the behavior changing services of the FOC with foundational education contextualized to a specific industry. For example, participants build their reading, writing and math skills using concepts and examples specific to the medical field, and then progress into vocational training to become a Medical Assistant. They earn industry-recognized credentials and ultimately find employment with one of the BCO grantee’s employer partners. RI LISC is investing $475,000 in Genesis Center to implement this promising model over three years.
