Dear Friends of Litera,
I continue to struggle to find the right words to express the devastation from the sudden passing of my father, Deepak Massand. He was not only my Dad but also my friend, confidant, advisor, business partner, fellow tea connoisseur and world travel adventure companion.
For those of you who knew him, I hope you always remember his amazingly energetic and enthusiastic spirit, his unwavering generosity and that lovely glimmer he had in his eye when you had a bright or innovative idea.
I feel broken and lost, now missing both my Dad and my Mom (who I lost in 1998) but I know that they would want me to follow the years of teaching to always strive to be better the next day than I was the day before and to constantly pray to be a stronger person rather than simply praying for life to get easier. It feels like a daunting task but I am up for the challenge, as only my dear loving father could prepare me to be.
Thank you all, for all of your prayers, emails, notes, texts and blessings. Deepak truly was a "people person" who valued and appreciated the moments that he shared with each individual he met. His innate curiosity and love for our family, friends, customers, employees and anyone who shared a smile with him is an integral part of his legacy, that I, and the entire team at Litera are committed and honored to continue, as we focus and work towards the mission and vision that he allowed each one of us to contribute to and believe in.
We are humbled by the outpouring of support and are so very fortunate to know you all.
Please do stay in touch, and never hesitate to reach out to me, as any friend of Deepak's is truly a friend of mine.
With love and light,
