LKA's 'Unmasking Dyslexia' gala was another success for the books! On October 26, our LKA community gathered at the Crowne Plaza to have a memorable night, as well as to celebrate the importance of dyslexia education.
Around 200 guests showed up in their best cocktail attire and mask. Upon arrival, guests were greeted with good food and live music from the Carbon Copy Band. Everyone enjoyed participating in the gala activities as well, some of which included a silent auction, bourbon tasting, and a game where guests had to find a diamond that had been frozen in ice!
The night wouldn't have been complete without featuring a video that was written and produced by LKA students. The video took the audience through our students' struggles with dyslexia, and showed how Louisiana Key Academy has helped them overcome these challenges. That is why all gala proceeds go toward academic programs at LKA. You can also support our amazing students by viewing
their story. These children are the reason LKA works so hard to make a difference in their lives. They're the ones who will grow up to make their own differences in the world.
