Happy New Year Racers!
The 2017 sailing season is almost here and off we go for another amazing season of offshore racing on Lake Ontario.

All the dates for LOOR events are posted at loor.ca. The Early Bird registration deadline is end of day, March 15th, and I am very pleased to announce that there are NO CHANGES to the fees for 2017!

With the return of the Humberview Group (DriveHG.ca) as our title sponsor and the incredible support from all our sponsors, the upcoming racing season is looking very exciting indeed.  To hear more about it, make sure you stop by our LOOR booth at the 2017 Toronto International Boat Show running from January 20th through 29th. You can pick up our special flyer providing a brief overview of each race and the dates, and you can sign-up to receive your free copy of the full 2017 Racing Guide. See details on the Guide below.

Also, if you haven't received your flag or plaque from the 2016 season, drop by our booth at the Boat Show to pick it up.

Are you interested in helping in the success of offshore racing events? There are volunteer opportunities within the LOOR Committee that may be of interest to you. We welcome your enthusiasm and your help. Contact me for more info.

2017 Lake Ontario Offshore Racing Guide

This Guide provides sailors - both racers and cruisers - with articles on numerous nautical topics and details on the different racing events being held around the lake in 2017. It's also an excellent advertising vehicle for retailers and service providers in the industry.

It will be available in March, 2017 and distributed through major Canadian and U.S. yacht clubs, marinas, chandleries and regattas throughout the year.

If your company would be interested in placing an ad in this Guide, contact Brian Townsend at sponsorship@loor.ca . New deadline for all materials is end of January, 2017.

Racers Survey - Closes end of January!
The Lake Ontario Offshore Racing Committee is committed to ensuring all racing events maintain the highest level of organization, support and participation from year to year. That's why it's so important that we hear from you about your experience. Help us continue to raise the bar on the quality of these events by taking a few minutes to complete our   Racers Survey.
