2016 ASLA Annual Meeting and Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture Alumni Reception in New Orleans
LSU Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture alumni had much to celebrate on Friday, October 21, at their annual alumni reception. Students, faculty, and alumni received top honors at the 2016 American Society of Landscape Architects Annual Meeting & EXPO, including three medals, seven professional awards, and three student awards. Associate Professor Lake Douglas and Professor Charles Fryling were elevated to the ASLA Council of Fellows, and the current president of ASLA is LSU alumnus Chad Danos. At the reception, faculty, students, and alumni celebrated Professor Max Conrad's 50th year and Professor Bruce Sharky's 25th year teaching at LSU. Conrad, who was recently named one of America's Most Admired Educators by DesignIntelligence, was presented with a collection of "Max Memories" collected from the alumni and students he has guided and influenced in his tenure at LSU.
