League of Women Voters of Florida
LWVF's Speakers Bureau is Looking for an Audience!
The League of Women Voters of Florida's Speakers Bureau has really hit the ground running in 2012!

As of today, over 1000 Floridians have heard the League's presentation on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and many more been educated on redistricting and the new elections law.
LWVF Speaker Dr. Julie Kessel presenting on health care in St. Petersburg, FL.

As the 2012 election season draws near, we anticipate that voters will be looking for reliable, nonpartisan information on critical issues such as the 11 constitutional amendments that will appear on the November ballot.

At this time, we are asking our members and supporters for suggestions regarding groups to which our speakers may present.  Are you a member of an organization that hosts regular meetings with speakers -- i.e. Rotary, Kiwanis, Tiger Bay, Sertoma, PTA, etc.?  If so, please consider inviting the League to address your group!

We have well-trained and dynamic speakers who can provide education on:
  • The Pros and Cons of the 11 Constitutional Amendments on the Ballot
  • The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (aka federal health care reform)
  • The Florida Redistricting Process
  • The 2011 Elections Law
  • Maintaining Lower-Temperature Cities through Better Urban Planning

If you would like to arrange a presentation in your area, or if you have any suggestions for groups that LWVF might approach, please contact LWVF Intern Anna Sheffield at: LWVFintern@gmail.com.
