The Salute to Summer Festival is Next Week!
La Vista's annual celebration, the Salute to Summer Festival, is scheduled for Memorial Day weekend, May 24-27

The festival is a reflection of the City's efforts to honor active-duty military and veterans as well as the fact that Salute to Summer kicks off summer for the metro area.

The weekend of fun includes:

Thursday, May 24

Hometown Heroes Event, 6 p.m., City Hall Blue Star Memorial

Hot Wheels Races, 6 p.m., Community Center Gym


Friday, May 25

Community Cookout and Car Show, 5:30 p.m., City Hall Campus and La Vista Keno

Fireworks over Civic Center Park, Dusk


Saturday, May 26

Parade, 1 p.m., Park View Boulevard from 87th to 75th streets


Sunday, May 27

Family Pool Party, 1-4 p.m.


Of course all weekend long Central Park will be filled with vendor booths and the carnival as well! 

96th and Brentwood Traffic Signal is Fully Operational
The new traffic signal at 96th and Brentwood is now installed and fully operational.

Pool Passes Now on Sale; Swimming Lessons Registration is Open
It must be almost summer, because passes and memberships to the La Vista Municipal Pool are now for sale! 

Also, you can now register for swimming lessons! You can register on our website, or in-person at the Community Center, 8116 Park View Blvd.

Coed T-ball League Registration
Registration is still open for our Coed T-Ball League for five and six-year olds! 

The early-bird deadline is April 28 and the final deadline is NOW MAY 26.

Preschool Playtime at the Community Center
Did you know the La Vista Community Center hosts a preschool playtime twice a week?
Each Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon the Community Center gym is an open playground for those kiddos who are preschool age and younger.
Parents, grandparents or caregivers are welcome to join us for this indoor playtime. We recently expanded these hours as well!
Registration now open for fall youth sports
Registration is now open for our fall youth sports programs, including: flag football, soccer clinic and soccer academy & league.
