She was right! Mrs. King was right. I was on the phone one day with the late great Mrs. Coretta Scott King who I had the pleasure of knowing by way of my mentor and she said something like "you all are too busy... I have never seen folk sooo busy". Well she was actually responding to why her children didn't have any kids (at that time). She was implying we are so busy we don't have time for ... fill in the blank. Although she didn't say these words, in my head I could hear her say "SAT DOWN some where". Today I get it; I'll be the first to admit I need to take a break. I'm just coming down from extensive travel --- life on the road practically living out of a suitcase. I have not slept four consecutive nights in my own bed since the beginning of the summer. I have been in more hotels in the last few months than I can count so much so I've made the mistake of calling the hotel front desk "my key doesn't work" only to discover I'm using the hotel key from the property I just left. I know just about every Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Jamba Juice and hot/power spot in most major airports from the mid-west to the eastern seaboard. And believe it or not I was almost thrown out of an airport bar because I wouldn't buy a drink but made myself comfortable while charging all my "gadgets". REALLY. Now I'm not complaining; I'm grateful for the privilege, the opportunity but I probably need to "SAT down" and so do YOU.   
 

 Certainly there's a lot of good to come out of my travels. Most of my time is spent speaking to women and professionals not only about marketing, branding, leadership and networking but about LIFE BALANCE. In fact, my last trip was to speak to women leaders at the Global Automotive and Energy Summit on "whole-life balance" and the backdrop was none other than the IMMERSE spa at the MGM Grand. Not bad, right? Well the result was overwhelming need for level setting. So this month I'm working exclusively with other "busy" women professionals on "whole-life balance".
