Commerce Township has been selected as one of the communities that will participate in the Spring of 2018 in the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) "inside/Out" program. In partnership with the DIA, the Commerce Twp. Downtown Development Authority is coordinating this event that brings high quality reproductions of master pieces from the DIA valuable collection to outdoor venues throughout metro Detroit. The locations selected, where residents of Commerce and surrounding areas will be able to enjoy them, will be the Twp. Hall, the new community library, the Richardson Community Center and the historical Byers homestead. The Inside/Out program will be in those locations from the middle of April until the middle of July.

Also, as part of a partnership between Walled Lake Schools and the Downtown Development Authority, through their Public Relations Committee, we are coordinating the next K-12 Art Exhibition that will take place at the Community Library between May May 19 to May 25 with the reception on Wednesday, May 23 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. This community event is open to the public.
