Principal's Corner

Dear Lakeview Families,

Lakeview is a special place, and ensuring that we have a wonderful end to this school year and smooth start to the next school year is top-of-mind right now. As you can imagine, there are many considerations during this busy time and year, including DIBELS and SBA testing, fun end-of-year activities and field trips, and continuing high quality teaching and learning in the classrooms. For next year, we are already starting work on classroom assignments, school leadership team planning and preparation, and our 5th grade student leadership model.

Another key piece for next year is a smooth transition between Ms. Frazier and myself as she takes the reins here at Lakeview starting July 1. Heather will be meeting with all staff members individually in the coming weeks, she'll spend time with Mr. Neugebauer and myself to see the routines of the school, and will meet Lakeview families at the PTSA general membership meeting on June 8th.  Again, I am thrilled to have Heather joining the Lakeview family, I think you will find her to be a strong, caring, student-center leader. I am grateful for the remaining weeks at Lakeview and am working to finish strong for a great end of the year and a solid foundation for the next.

Thanks - Steve

Lakeview Marathon Going Strong
Volunteers Needed!

Thank you to all the parents, grandparents and the Kirkland Firefighters for punching lap cards at the marathon so far. We still have FOUR more weeks for students to walk, skip, dance or run laps to finish one or more marathons during their lunch recess. Please volunteer 30 minutes to cheer on our Leopards and punch lap cards during lunch recess.  We could really use some volunteers, so any time you can donate would be greatly appreciated.
Lakeview Bike to School Day: Wednesday, 5/17!

All grades are welcome to participate in Bike to School Day and park their bikes at school; please remember that K-3 graders must ride with an adult.
